A novel evening featuring Literary Characters come to life from Scarlett O’Hara to the Cat in the Hat, from Tom Sawyer to Cleopatra. We encourage you to dress as your favorite book character, or come as you are, to celebrate and support Literacy Volunteers.
Many of Western New York’s finest restaurants will provide samplings, and beer and wine tastings will also be served.
A cash bar will feature literary-themed cocktails, including:
Long John Silver Pirate’s Rum & Coke
James Bond 007 Martini
Scarlett O’Hara
The Invisible Mandarin Vodka Iced Tea
Boo Radley’s Root Beer Float Featuring Vanilla Vodka
An extensive raffle and silent auction will feature unique and creative items, many with a literary theme.
The evening will also include guided behind-the-scenes tours of Shea’s Performing Arts Center, and other surprises.
